Becoming a Naval Sea Cadet and joining the DeLand Excellence Squadron is easy. What’s needed to make it happen? Complete a few forms, get a medical exam, be sure you have your immunizations, file your application fee and get your ID card.
Parents are also welcome and encouraged to join the Naval Sea Cadet program. Parents have two options – joining the informal auxiliary or jumping on the instructor/officer track. The instructor/officer track allows you to join cadets at away advanced trainings and work towards becoming a Naval Sea Cadet leader.
