Funding

Financial donations and sponsoring our Squadron helps to ensure that our cadets have uniforms to attend trainings, help for travel expenses to events such as military bases, air shows, training, color guard, community service and many more. There may be a family who has come on hard times and has cadet(s) that wants to join but financially may not be able to afford uniforms, enrollment fees or training costs.   A few examples of uniform requirements for each cadet provides a sense of the many expenses that the squadron faces to ensure a quality Naval Sea Cadet experience (Navy Working Uniform Type III blouse & trousers, PT gear, Summer Whites, Dress blues, belts, covers 8 point & Dixie cup, dress shoes, boots, neckerchiefs, sea bags, award ribbons & appurtenances, flash, name tapes, and more).

The Naval Sea Cadet program provides life skills, teaches about different career path choices in or out of the Armed services, promotes being of high moral character, exercise, responsibility, a ‘can do attitude,’ drug and gang free life, and many other skills not found in any other youth program.  To support the DeLand Naval Sea Cadet Squadron please link to “Contact US” and let us know how to get in touch with you.
